IRM Symposium
The Physiology, Mechanics and Control of Human Movement Across the Life Span
Tuesday 29th June 2010
To be held at Manchester Metropolitan University Oxford Road Manchester M1 5GD
Dear Friends
The Physiology, Mechanics and Control of Human Movement Across the Life Span
We are pleased to announce this IRM International Symposium, to be held on Tuesday 29th June 2010. We would be delighted if you were able to attend this meeting. This symposium is to mark the move of the IRM to its new laboratories and offices in the John Dalton Building in Central Manchester and to allow everyone attending to see the new facilities and some of our research related to Human Movement and Ageing.
There is no charge for attendance at the symposium but for security reasons we would ask you to register and you can book and pay for lunch in advance. To do this, please complete the tear off slip and return to the address at the the bottom of the Registration page.
You may also wish to book for the dinner which will give us an opportunity to meet old friends and make new contacts in the field of human movement research.
For attendees from outside the UK, if you like to join us for lunch/dinner please check the lunch and/or dinner option(s) during your Registration although payment can be made when you arrive here, during registration.
The IRM Symposium is timed to immediately precede The Physiological Society Meeting being held in Manchester from the 30th June to 2nd July so that you will be able to combine attendance at both meetings. David Jones and Marco Narici are also organising a symposium during the Physiological Society Meeting which I am sure will be of interest to you and you can find details of this and links to the rest of The Physiological Society meeting at http://www.physiology2010.org/symp/1wed2.html
We would strongly encourage you and your co-workers to submit an abstract for an oral or poster communication in The Physiological Society Meeting in the sessions designated for Human and Exercise Physiology.
We do hope that you will be able to come to Manchester this summer and we look forward to greeting you at that time. If you have never been to Manchester before it is a vibrant city with a rich cultural heritage and you will be assured of a warm welcome.
If you require any further details please contact Wendy Williams W.Williams@mmu.ac.uk
With very best wishes
Professor Anthony Sargeant
